ORGANIZATIONS AND INFORMATION:
The Star Prairie Land Preservation Trust preserves environmentally sensitive land, to protect water quality and wildlife habitat for future generations. Efforts are focused on northern St. Croix and southern Polk Counties, currently protecting more than 300 acres through ownership and conservation easements.
The Heritage Initiative is a community-based project asking our neighbors in Minnesota and Wisconsin’s St. Croix River region — including those who live near its many tributaries — if a National Heritage Area would be a good fit for our area
